An Apple A Day and A Book

I had a mild case of the flu this week and took care of myself so I am well now. Thank goodness it didn't linger.
I have posted this bookplate before in a gardening book. This miniature volume is on quotations in foreign languages. The apple is for scale.
No wealthy monarch can possess
A greater store of happiness
Than can be found in happiness
Of birds and books and flowers.

Glad your flu wasn't worse, Rosemary. Continue taking care of yourself!

Glad to hear you've made a speedy recovery. With the warm weather we've been having, I keep reminding myself it's still February. But I can tell people are chomping at the bit to get started with their spring gardening. I actually have one azalea with blooms open--at least 3-4 weeks early. Take care. J

I love granny smith apples and I've always enjoyed seeing this bookplate. The quote on it is absolutely true.
